Downtown Indianapolis


Families, children and recreational bicyclists love this leisurely bike ride through downtown Indianapolis! People of all ages, skills, and levels of ability are welcome to join us on this FUN, FREE 4-mile community ride along the Indianapolis Cultural Trail. The route will loop back to the IU Health Indy Crit, where complimentary bicycle parking is available all day so that you can stay and enjoy the festivities. This ride is led and organized by our friends at the Central Indiana Bicycling Association (CIBA)

Pre-registering for the ride in advance is highly encouraged; however, participants may also register the day of the ride on your smart phone. All registration check-in will be contactless.

What to Bring

​Here is a list of suggested items to bring with you for your best ride experience.

  • Mask (REQUIRED while not riding)

  • Bicycle (REQUIRED) 

  • Helmet (REQUIRED) 

  • Water bottle, extra hydration and/or energy bar for after your ride

  • Sunscreen

  • Mobile phone

  • Identification and emergency contact info (drivers license, ID card, Road ID, etc.)

Ride Rules & Etiquette 
  • Helmets are required on the ride.

  • Children under the age of 12 need to be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian.

  • All participants must be on bicycles. No runners, pedestrians or scooters please.

  • Please obey all traffic laws as they pertain to bicyclists. If you see that a traffic signal is going to turn red, please stop and call out "stopping" for the other riders.

  • Please be courteous to motorists and to each other at all times. When passing others on a road or trail, always let other riders and pedestrians know you are there by calling out "on your right" or "on your left."
